BSW steel wire shops has shipped three million tons of wire

On November 1, the BSW — management company of the “BMC” holding held a shipment of three million tons of wire for various purposes in the steel mill № 3. That is how much of this product has been produced at the plant since the launch of steelcord and wire production.

The anniversary batch of wire was shipped to the Polish consumer of the “Mazur-Tom” company, where it will be processed into nails.

      Currently, the nomenclature range of wires for various purposes, produced at the Byelorussian metallurgical plant, includes nail, spring, reinforcing and general-purpose wire. In January-October more than 216 thousand tons of these products were produced at BSW. This year it was exported to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

     It should be noted that in order to improve the competitiveness of its products, BSW is constantly working to reduce costs. Significant progress in this direction has been achieved in the production of wire for various purposes. Thus, thanks to the work carried out by the BSW specialists of research center to expand the competitive environment of suppliers of dry lubricant used for wire drawing, the costs of this procurement position were reduced by almost half. In a year it allows to save to the enterprise about 400 thousand Euros, taking into account that among new suppliers of lubricant there were known companies from Italy, Germany and France.
