BSW has received the certificate of conformity to the Standard IATF 16949: 2016
OJSC “BSW- management company of BMC holding” was one of the first in the CIS to receive a certificate of conformity with the International target team for automotive industry (IATF16949: 2016). This document was issued on 10.01.2018 by the international concern for provision of independent audit services by the TÜV Rheinland Group (Cologne, Germany) based on the audit conducted at BSW in December 2017.
Obtaining a certificate of conformity with the new standard is extremely important for the Belorussian Metallurgical Plant, whose wide range of products is targeted specifically at the automotive industry. We are talking about steelcord and steel wire products supplied to the most famous tire companies in the world, and intended for automobile industry. It should be noted that with the commissioning of the long product rolling shop No. 2 BSW began active cooperation with European companies that are suppliers of components for leading automobile concerns (DAIMLER, VW, BMW, MAN, etc.) and various machine-building enterprises.
The IATF16949: 2016 standard was published at the end of 2016 and replaced the technical specification ISO / TS 16949 that had been in force since 1999. Although the main purpose of the standard has not changed (its emphasis is still on preventing defects and reducing losses throughout the supply chains), the new version implies a number of important requirements. For example, the conformity of all products and processes, including the products of suppliers and external processes, all applicable legal and regulatory legal requirements, as well as uncompromising security of products. In the standard, special attention is paid to the fulfillment of specific customer requirements, as well as the application of various quality management methods for continuous improvement.
At present, the Belorussian Metallurgical Plant has 7 certificates of conformity of the quality management system and more than 60 certificates of conformity of production, which allow to supply all over the world.
