“Zincum” is one of the projects of Urban Mining new direction in USM Holding relating to production of zinc oxide from secondary sources. Since the 2nd half of 2024, “Zincum” plant, which is under construction at the moment, will annually process over 100 thousand tons of dust from gas-cleaning units of electric steelmaking plants in Russia and other countries of Eurasian Economic Union.

As the representative of BSW noted, the fundamental value of BSW is continuous reduction of environmental impact in the process of production activities and transportation of products. Delivery of accumulated and generated dust in sealed soft containers (“big bags”) for recycling proves environmental responsibility of BSW.

According to Pavel Mitrofanov, General Director of “Zincum” LLC, “Zincum project is an eco-friendly dust recycling based on the principle of waste-free production. Cooperation with BSW is an example of effective cooperation in the field of waste processing of metallurgical production.”
