From the beginning of the year BMZ has expanded geography of its supplies by 17 countries.

Within the period January- October, 2009 Byelorussian Steel Works has expanded geography of its supplies by 17 countries. For the first time it supplied steel products to : Iraq, Iran, Israel, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Philippines, Afghanistan, Morocco and other countries of Africa and Middle East. Nowadays BMZ performs trade operations with 60 countries located on five continents.

Active searching for new partners was caused by decrease of demand for products of ferrous industry at traditional markets for enterprises of Russia, CIS and ЕС. Besides, according to statements of specialists price for 1t of steel products sold at the new markets, developed this year is higher by $20-30. At the moment export share to new regions constitutes 23-25% of total volume of supplies.

A decision to establish own trade house in Arabic Emirates was made at RUE “BMZ” in order to arrange trade in this country and countries located nearby. Negotiations concerning deliveries of OCTG seamless pipes to Venezuela market are carried out at the present time.

According to specialists’ opinion successful diversification of supplies to foreign countries has significantly improved financial and economic status of BMZ.

Thus, for instance, volume of product sales in July – October was noticeably higher of average monthly sales volume during the first 6 month of the current year. In particular, in October the plant exported products for the amount of $78,5mills., it means $4 mills. more than the previous month.

Amount of finished product in stock has been decreased. Profitability of sold product in June was 9,4%, July - 9,9%, August - 6,7%, September - 10,4%.
